Traffic analytics

Public-page requests record time, IP, path, referrer hostname, user agent, approximate country/region/city and a bot flag for operations and analytics. Referrer query strings and search text are not retained. Admin pages and static assets are excluded from public page views.

Location

IP location uses a local database; visitor IPs are not sent to an external lookup service. Missing locations appear as Unknown. Locations are approximate and may reflect a VPN or proxy.

Retention & access

Detailed IP records are retained for 30 days, then deleted. Daily totals without IPs and article view counters remain. Details are restricted to authenticated administrators. Only necessary admin-session cookies are used. DNT: 1 or Sec-GPC: 1 disables request tracking.
