Meta says its VR Glasses are a different product for a different market, and Quest is not dead but has been relegated. The company has reportedly pulled back from games, shut down a number of studios, and is building its next chapter around something else; the VR Glasses are mixed reality tethered to a compute puck.
Anthropic released Claude Code 2.1.293, reverting a fix that version 2.1.290 had shipped two days earlier, and the changelog states this plainly. According to the changelog, the reverted fix addressed cloud sessions staying asleep after a container restart lost a pending /loop wakeup or scheduled task.
The open-source project Glasscast streams an entire Android phone onto the Meta Ray-Ban Display and lets the Neural Band operate it like a touchpad. Because the glasses have a 600x600 display, the companion app squashes the phone's screen into a square.
Apple's release notes for the shipped visionOS 27 list a known issue: Siri commands for Environments, the 360-degree landscapes, are not working. The suggested workaround is to use gaze and pinch to open environments from the Home View.
According to MIXED, the Pimax Crystal Pro is sold as a wireless PC VR headset, but the top refresh rate on its spec sheet, 120Hz, requires a single DisplayPort cable that Pimax calls optional and does not include in the box. Pimax's Frontier 2026 FAQ confirms wired play is still possible.
Anthropic is adding a monthly pot of Claude API credits to its Claude Max and Team plans: $100 per month on Max 5x, $200 on Max 20x, and up to $500 pooled on Team. According to Anthropic's documentation, the credits cannot be spent on Claude Code, which is listed among the products the credit does not cover.
Meta's documentation tells Ray-Ban Display developers not to rely on the untrustedContentHint flag, which web apps use to tell Meta AI that a piece of text came from an untrustworthy source. Meta's WebMCP agent tools page says to set the flag honestly, since it is not an enforced security boundary.
EA has named two specific PC performance faults in EA Sports FC 27 in its PC launch notes: performance degradation when Cloth Quality is set to Medium, and Frame Rate Limit settings not applying correctly after switching monitors. A developer has pointed the wristband that ships with Meta Ray-Ban Display at a pair of Rokid glasses, saying the band carries a handwriting model of its own. The unofficial project, called Rokid Lumen, reaches the band over a Bluetooth protocol worked out by reverse engineering, and its author reports testing the handwriting feature.
Claude Code 2.1.292 changes how it connects to local (stdio) MCP servers, negotiating protocol version 2026-07-28 by default on every install, including Bedrock, Vertex and Foundry, with MCP_PROTOCOL_NEGOTIATION=legacy as an opt-out. However, the documentation still describes the older opt-in behaviour.

The report notes the discrepancy without resolving it.
Anthropic has folded Project Glasswing and its Cyber Verification Program into a single programme with three access tiers and published its own measurements of what each tier stops.
